Advanced Bless

Duration: 10 minutes
Description: Adds +1 to one skill of a non-follower, or the cleric’s rank to two skills of each follower. Must be in pursuit of knowledge (not ‘How many hits does it take them to die.’). Allies only, cleric is included in the bonus.

Description: Gain one skill at cleric’s rank + receiver’s attribute. Skill must be a skill that would not be exotic to a group within the distance to and including the nearest large population center (typically a large town or city) and surrounding space it controls. For example, on Blugar’s World, “Computer Repair” or “Spaceship Operations” are examples of skills which can’t typically be granted. However, if the cleric was near a staffed spaceship facility, they could be.

Description: This spell is used to determine the truth of statements made by others. Note that this cannot give unknown info beyond the truthfulness of a statement. For example, if a cleric casts this on themselves at a murder scene and then someone assisting with the investigation says “I killed this person”, the cleric would know the truth of that statement – that they didn’t actually kill the person. They will not get the info of who actually did kill the person.

Turn Undead

Range: Cleric’s Rank x 4 yards Time to Cast: 1 second
Duration: Instant
Description: The divine power repels or even destroys undead. The cleric rolls against their remaining clerical points added to 10, and each undead within the area must resist with their effective turn resistance (their level added to their base turn resistance; skeletons might be level 1 while lord vampires might be level 20, and various undead types might be more resistant to turning than their level would indicate). If the cleric wins the contest, the undead must flee for rounds equal to the cleric’s rank plus 4. If the cleric wins by more than the undead level, then the undead is destroyed. If the cleric fails, the undead automatically tracks and attacks the cleric with a bonus equal to the failure number, and will only attack others who are in their way. Once a turn has failed on a particular undead, the affected undead cannot be turned again by the same cleric.
Vigil

Duration: Instant
Description: All allies including the cleric within the cleric’s range may skip a night’s sleep with no ill effects. This spell can be cast up to cleric’s-rank worth of nights consecutively, but after a single consecutive run, must break for normal rest for twice the number of nights that the subject had Vigil. For example, a second rank cleric can cast this spell on two consecutive nights, and then cannot receive benefit from it again for another four nights (although they could cast it again to benefit others). This limitation applies to recipients as well.

Additional Notes

  • In all instances, the cleric will know if a save against their spell was successful or not. Dixon would provide the knowledge, right?
